NewbieIT Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I am having a problem with exchange server 2003, I installed it on my server on the e: drive which is what I wanted to do but I wanted to install the container to store and hold all the e-mails on the d: drive which is the bigger drive and used for storage. I tried uninstalling the exchange 2003 and everything unistalled without a problem except for the Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration Services part. So I try to go back in and remove it and everytime I try and remove it I get this message:There is no such object on the server.Facility: LDAP ProviderID no: 80072030Microsoft Exchange SetupCan anybody help ??? pleaseeee!!!!
cluberti Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 First, there was no reason to uninstall Exchange to move the databases - these can be moved post-installation via the GUI!!!Second, I would do a reinstall of Exchange 2003 on this server (including foresprep and domainprep). This should refresh the Exchange container of AD, and hopefully update the component's registration and AD registration data.Third, move the databases to whatever drive you wish post-installation via the System Manager GUI.
