XP upgrade / Palm software

I recently upgraded our Dell Dimension PC from Win98 to XP Pro. I am unable to run the Hot sync for my wifes Palm (Zire 21). I have tried to re-install (and un-install) the Palm software but get an error message

"unable to access 'Sent To' folder with the re or uninstall.

Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?
