jgus Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Say I have a Office 2003 CD but only Outlook 2003 was chosen to be installed originally when installing. Now say that there is a Office 2003 patch that is related to Excel only like the current MS06-012. It will let me install this update......or at least it appears to install, but maybe it isn't doing anything. My question is.....if I now decide to add Excel from my Office 2003 CD, will it be patched or will the patch MS06-012 need to be re-applied in order to actually be installed?
prathapml Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 From what I've seen, its as good as not applying the patch at all, it will be needing a re-apply of that patch again after installing (excel/any-other-component).
