craz Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 hey guys, new member to the forumhopefully someone here can assist me. i just installed the feb ctp version (5308), and can fully access the internet (as you see here) but can't access our server. i can't figure out what's causing this, but my friend thinks it has something to do with our server (it's running linux, he thinks microsoft "updated" the SMB, i'm not quite sure what he's talking about, i don't understand networks too much)can anyone help? has microsoft "updated" the SMB? thanks- craz

craz Posted March 18, 2006 Author Posted March 18, 2006 problem solved, it was our samba server who was at faultthere is an update to samba which supports raw NTLMSSP authentification (which is what vista uses)very shwing
