snalion Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Hello, I'm a newbie at creating unattended installs, however I have been successful at some attempts. I have a cmdlines.txt file saved under the $OEM$ folder on my install folder, along with the .reg file. The cmdlines.txt consist of the two lines:[COMMANDS]"REGEDIT.EXE /S regtest.reg"Now when I try to actually burn the CD using Roxio 6, it wants me to change the $OEM$ folder to _OEM_ . I did try that and burn the CD, however none of my reghacks worked, thinking it didn't accept the _OEM_ folder. What can I do to correct this? How can I burn it correctly without renaming the folder?Second problem: In my winnt.sif, under Components I have the follwing:[Components] msmsgs=off msnexplr=off zonegames=off netoc=offThe main reason I put in netoc=off was the fact that I do not want any of the Networking Services under Add/Remove Windows Components to be installed at all. However after the install was complete, I checked that the Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client was still checked under the Networking Services. Am I correct to assume that the "netoc=off" didn't work? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
possy_99 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 _OEM_ will not workYou need to maintain the $'s, if Roxio won't let you, then best way forward is not to use Roxio.
MHz Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Have a look at the Guide:http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/15/Create your ISO 1st, then use Roxio to burn the ISO to CD or DVD. This prevents issues such as $OEM$ to _OEM_
