How do I prepare ME cabfiles for installation?

My WinME cabs are contained on 3 separate disks for Gateway OEM setup. Since I don't know exactly which I need, I tried copying all the cab files from all 3 to my hard drive, but I can't do it without overwriting. If I put the disk that seems the most likely to contain relevant files in my CDROM drive, will Win98SE2ME setup ask for other disks as needed? By the same token, if I copy the files to subfolders in a main folder on my hard drive, will it ask to be directed to another folder?

In order to install 98SE2ME options 1, 2 and/or 3, you need all these WinME CABs placed in the same directory [anywhere on any of your local hard drives/partitions], or pop in any English WinME setup CD into your 1st (if more than 1) CD/DVD drive:

BASE2.CAB

CATALOG.CAB

DRIVER5.CAB

DRIVER6.CAB

DRIVER7.CAB

MINI.CAB

NET3.CAB

NET4.CAB

PRECOPY1.CAB

WIN_10.CAB

WIN_11.CAB

WIN_12.CAB

WIN_13.CAB

WIN_14.CAB

WIN_15.CAB

WIN_16.CAB

WIN_17.CAB

WIN_18.CAB

WIN_19.CAB

WIN_20.CAB

WIN_21.CAB

WIN_22.CAB

WIN_8.CAB

WIN_9.CAB

Any WinME setup CD works, including OEMs.

Any other CABs you may have are not necessary.

OEM/VAR manufacturers must preserve the MS CAB structure from WinME setup CD-ROM, and if they wish, they can add their own CABs and/or files, for custom installs, but per the MS license they can't modify/repack the MS CABs.

From now on please post any 98SE2ME related questions/comments/etc into this forum:

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I'm sorry that I posted in the wrong place. I'm still a little confused about the structure of the forum.
