eyeball Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 hi all,can anyone tell me or point me to a guide that shows how to create an msi file please? i need it to be a free way not with that wininstall LE or whatever its called thanks
cluberti Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Well, if you want free, it likely won't be "easy". However, you can download the platform SDK from Microsoft, and use the included ORCA msi editor to create your own .msi packages - the ORCA package, as well as the SDK, are free.

cluberti Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I personally use AdminStudio from Installshield/Macrovision, but I've been known to use Orca for basic .msi tasks.
