sd4 Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 i need to reinstall ie6 64bit for amd64 but i cant find it anywhere on microsoft site
ntfs2.0 Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 have u tried add and remove windows componets in control panel?
prathapml Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 U cannot install it separately, so try add/remove as suggested.
cluberti Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Since IE6 is integrated into the install, you're going to have one heck of a time removing it - the add/remove Windows components links are just for hiding the icons.
rjz Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 How about the inf file would that do it? IN 32 bit if you right click ie.inf it will reinstall. The name might have changed.
cluberti Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Well, there are two versions of IE on Windows XP x64 - the 32bit version and the 64bit version. We'd need the 64bit version.
rjz Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I just checked at google. Go do the ie.inf right click install trick and when it asks you for the files point to the 64 bit directory not the i386 one. You might need you win cd.
