[Help] - Event Viewer Errors and Warnings

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a 2 week old Dell Inspiron 9300. After removing preloaded Dell trial programs, corel photo album, AOL, WildTangent, etc. The only programs I have installed are: Norton Internet Security and Sunbelt CounterSpy. I have several warnings and errors in my event viewer and I am looking for any ways to correct them. The operating system is Windows XP Media Center Edition. Some of the system errors are the following:

Error

Product: Windows Operating System

Event ID: 14103

Source: PSched

Version: 5.0

Component: System Event Log

Symbolic Name: EVENT_PS_QUERY_OID_GEN_LINK_SPEED

Message: QoS [Adapter %2]:

The netcard driver failed the query for OID_GEN_LINK_SPEED.

Error

Product: Windows Operating System

Event ID: 32003

Source: ipnathlp

Version: 5.2

Symbolic Name: IP_NAT_LOG_IOCTL_FAILED

Message: The Network Address Translator (NAT) was unable to request an operation of the kernel-mode translation module. This may indicate misconfiguration, insufficient resources, or an internal error. The data is the error code.

Error

Product: Windows Operating System

Event ID: 10010

Source: DCOM

Version: 5.0

Component: System Event Log

Symbolic Name: EVENT_RPCSS_SERVER_START_TIMEOUT

Message: The server %1 did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

There are also a couple of minor application msinstaller warnings stemming from windows looking for the wordperfect disc for reinstallation.

This is a brand new computer so these errors and warnings are discouraging. Any help would be great as my computer knowledge is not exactly extensive.

Thanks
