Help in Partiton with partition magic 7.0 for windows 98

I have a 6GB harddisk and I have installed windows 98 on my system on C: drive. I have 2GB space on my C: drive, which is set to primary and active.I am unable to create a D drive logical partiton for 4 mb on my hard drive.

when i view it on partition magic through windows it gives the below information.

Partition Type Size MB UsedMB Unused MB Status Pri/logical

c: FAT 2000.2 941.6 1 058.6 Active Primary

Extended 4188.8 4188.8 0.0 None Primary

NTFS 4188.8 23.5 4165.3 None Logical

Unallocated 7.8 0.0 0.0 None Primary

when i try to covert the NTFS partition to FAT32 I get a error

Error 156 Partiton is improperly dismounted and it will not allow me to do so.

what should i do to create a logical D drive and get back my 4mb space.

eagerly waiting for reply

Thanks in advance

If you don't need the data in the NTFS partition, delete the NTFS partition. You can then create a new FAT32 partition.
