olidude
Hi everybody, I discovered the unattended cd guide a couple of days ago and decided to give it a shot and make my own setup. Since I'm a complete noob to all of this (NO programming knowledge except for some GW basic learned in 6th grade ten years ago!), I started off in the beginner's section of the guide. I followed each step by the book first with nlite then, maually. What I did: Took a gold copy of XP pro, slipstreamed SP2, integraded hotfixes and updates, made a ISO of the new CD and mounted it in VMware. I configured the setup to be fully unattended both with nlite and manually in winnt.sif. This is where I'm screwed... no matter how many times I try the setup is never automated! It always asks: witch partition to install, the s/n, shows the EULA, etc.. I just don't get what I'm doing wrong! I searched the forums for similar cases but didn't find anything. I've attached a copy of my winnt.sif file.I'm sure there's an easy solution... Thanks to anybody who wishes to help me out and congrats for the great forum and the colossal work all of you guys put in to it.BTW... once I get this problem solved I am definitly moving on to intermediate and expert!edit: DOH! removed all personal info form winnt.sif...winnt.sif Edited December 27, 2005 by olidude

=|= buzzbomb
The EULA skip should be: OEMSkipEULA=YesI have not used nLite, but have had good success setting it up Manually. However, I believe you have to use either nLite or winnt.sif, not both at the same time. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't, but I would double-check that. I'll look over your winnt.sif, and see what I might be able to help with.Regards, buzzbomb Edited December 27, 2005 by =|= buzzbomb
