shigenobuchan Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 From my understanding, when using a Multi-Boot Dvd, there's no way to modify the winnt.sif file to automatically partition the entire disk, though you can in RIS? Is this correct? Is there anyway around it? I'd like to add the following parameters...but for my DVD[RemoteInstall]Repartition = YesUseWholeDisk = Yes
MHz Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 This is a DVD install and not RIS so you have to learn the differences. This is quoted from Ref.chm for the [unattended] section of Unattended.txt (Winnt.sif):RepartitionSpecifies whether to delete all partitions on the first drive of the client computer and to reformat the drive with the NTFS file system.SyntaxRepartition = Yes | NoValuesYes Deletes all partitions on the first drive and reformats the drive with NTFS.No Does not delete partitions or reformat the drive.ExampleRepartition = YesCommentsImportantRepartition is valid only when performing an unattended Setup by starting the computer from the Windows product CD.
