DragonFly Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 (edited) I posted this question in the appropriate sub-forum (Xpize) since it first occurred when using this piece of software. Didn't get any answer, so I'll try a more general approach. This is my question: Xpize adds the /bootlogo switch in the boot.ini file in order to display the boot.bmp. Now, I don't know if this is a side effect of XPize but now an ever growing ntbtlog.txt is also created during every reboot. If I would like to manually create an ntbtlog.txt, I would have to add the /bootlog switch in the boot.ini file.Could it be that the /bootlogo switch is mistakenly read as the /bootlog switch by the Ntldr, or does the /bootlogo switch automatically invoke the creation of an ntbtlog.txt?I personally think the creation of the ntbtlog.txt (or any log file) is only needed for debug purposes and is not needed at every bootup, unless the user wants it to.Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on.--Zxian Edited December 19, 2005 by Zxian
