MG Taylor Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Anyway, I decided to install my unattended Windows installation from my hard drive, because burning and installing from the CD takes too long (but the installation from CD works like a charm thanks to all the guides and people here ). So, from my old installation of Windows XP i ran this from the command line:WINNT32.EXE /unattend:WINNT.SIF /makelocalsourceAnd as lucky as I am, it didn't work. But I'm also sure it's possible to do, one way or another. It says "si3112r.sys is missing" when i start the setup. When I checked the two hidden folders on my hard drive ($WIN_NT$.~BT; $WIN_NT$.~LS) where the installation files should have been copied, $OEM$ dir was empty and there was no si3112r.sy_ cab.So if you can give me some hints how to do this I would very much appriciate it
cluberti Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 If you are installing from a disk or network, the $OEM$ folder needs to be inside the i386 folder, rather than side-by-side with it. That could be the reason files haven't copied over.
