Will diskpart always show the installed CD as Volume 0?

Trying to figure out if windows will always assign volume 0 to your cd, dvd, cdrw drive you are installing from... Out of seven machines I have checked they are all volume 0. All the machines have a single cd or dvd or cdrw drive and were installed from that drive.
