death_dealer Posted November 28, 2005 Share Posted November 28, 2005 my system is win xp pro sp1 .when ever my system starts it goes for scaning some system drives but it cancells one by one all the scansas auto cencell . i m thinking something has gone wrong in my registry .so can any one help me with registry to stop the auto cencell of system scan. due to scan not working some of my appz files r gettin correpted . i have tryed to do scan from recovery console n safe mode both not working .system freezes while scaning from system recovery . any help is appriciated .. pmshah Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 I sugegst you create any live XP boot cd based on Bart's PE. Include and apply as many virus/malware detectors as possible. Finally do a scandisk from this bootable disk. Once you have corrected the drive fault you should not have scandisk errors while booting from the HDD.
