Nero 7/K-Lite Codec Problem

I think something in Nero's set of codecs is interfering with my K-Lite codecs. :S

I have Nero 7 Ultra/KL Mega Codec Pack 1.38 and everything worked fine before I installed Nero... but now when I try to open an avi file in BSPlayer, it stops at the first frame (time 0.00.00) and doesn't play any more.

Any clue how I can not install Nero's codecs or stop them from interfering? Or what the problem is? Because I really don't want to have to uninstall Nero...
