using vb script during Unattended install

Featured Replies

Hi All,

quick question (I just want to save myself some time experimenting)

I would like to use some vbscripts i have already to perfom some tasks during an unattended install of Win XP Sp2 Professional.

I'm wondering if anyone can advise me as to what can be done using commands.txt?

(I already know I can use GUI run once to stage scripts laterin the process)

Obviously I can not perform any Active directory scripting as there is no logged on user however...

Can I manipulate the local file system, registry, default user profile etc? Is WMI available when commands.txt runs?

I'm what I would call an intermediate level scripter so some advanced answer would be nice :)

many thanks

G
