XPMCE 2006 Won't Install?

I'm having trouble installing my copy of Windows XP MCE 2005... When I try to boot install it it just hangs on a black screen and a _ flashes in the top left corner. When I try to install it through Windows XP Home itself, the drive will read the disc but nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to get this to work?

building your own MCE? do you have everything for it? do you have the drivers?

not all of your drivers will be on the disc. I needed bus and sound drivers. but i installed them afterward.

are you trying to dual boot?...you mention Home...MCE 2005 is XP Pro. the media side is a subset.(so i have been told).
