steveball Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Hi, this is my first post and it is a horrible one. When I try to TS into the TS server at work I get the logon prompt for Windows, enter my username and password, press return and get a logon message"You do not have the proper encryption level to access this session"It does the same on the internal network, Please helpSteve
cluberti Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Are you using the Citrix ICA client to access the server, or the Windows RDP client? This is usually seen on Citrix clients who do not have their client options set to 128bit encryption (File > Properties > Options tab).
steveball Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 Windows RDP, but there is a mention of the ICA in the firewall, which file, properties do I need to go into?
cluberti Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Try setting the following reg values:Key: HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/TerminalServer/WinStations/RDP-TCPValue: MinEncryptionLevelRadix: HexData: 0Key: HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/TerminalServer/WinStations/RDP-TCPValue: MaxConnectionTimeRadix: HexData: 0If the above doesn't work, simply delete and re-create your RDP connection in Terminal Services Manager.
steveball Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 Thanks for the help, I will try this tomorrow.Steve
