Krisstheking Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Well, the other day i removed some keylogger/virus win.32.spy, and the antivirus said i had to rebot my computer to complete the deletion of the pest.So i did, but at startup i get this error:Rundll error:userinit.dll module not found. And the computer stops, it wont work anymore. But if i pres ctrl+alt+esc i just run explorer.exe and everything works. The userinit.dll was probly removed while removing the virus, so how can i get it back? All advices are welcome
cluberti Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 If you've got your Windows CD, simply run "sfc /scannow" from a command prompt to try to restore/repair the file. If that doesn't work, boot with the CD and go into the setup routine - select the "Repair" option when you're given the chance.
