What would i have to do so that when my auto install runs it copys the cab files to the harddrive, so that the I386 folder(from the xp cd) is put in the windows directory. I'm familuar with making unattended cd's and dvd's. I know i can write a batch file and have it run with my other apps, but i was just wondering if there is any simpler way to accomplish this. nlite doesnt' offer this option either (that i'm aware of)

Thanks for any help

Calling the copy command (or xcopy) from a batch file is probably the easiest way of doing this. There's no install option to copy the source to the hard drive AFAIK.

Thx. I think if I remember correctly, let's say when you do a dual boot of 98 and xp.....if your running in 98 and you start the xp install from with in 98, and instead of choosing upgrade you choose "New Install" one of the options is to A)Choose the dir you want xp installed to & B)Copy the installation files to the harddrive.

So thats why I thought there might be a option to do the same in a unattended install
