seba Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Hello,i want to completely remove the Windows Media Player 6.4 from my W2K SP4 Professional system. So I installed today with the following winnt.sif;SetupMgrTag[Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes"[Unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINNT[GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=* AutoLogonAccountCreation=Yes OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=110 OemSkipWelcome=1[UserData] FullName=xder ComputerName=fu6587igk[TapiLocation] CountryCode=49 Dialing=Tone AreaCode=00000[RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 Language=00010407[Identification] JoinWorkgroup=ARBEITSGRUPPE[Components] mplay=Off cdplayer=Off chat=Off media_clips=Off[Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes[Branding] BrandIEUsingUnattended=Yes[URL] Home_Page=about:blank Search_Page=http://www.google.de[Proxy] Proxy_Enable=0 Use_Same_Proxy=0Well, I thought the entry mplay=Off effects that WMP 6.4 is not installed. It is not the case. After the installation WMP was still on the system. The curious thing is that all other entries were accepted during the installation. Do you know what is going wrong here? Thanks in advance.Sebastian
