I have a weird anomoly. As far as I know and believe, I'm running Windows XP MCE 2005.

The "About Windows" box in Explorer says I'm running "Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pack 2)".

The Software Version page in Media Center says I'm running WinXP MCE 2005 "Version: 5.1.2715.2773 (xpsp(wmbla).051011-0745) Update Rollup 2)".

But, the other day, when I accidentally clicked on "Help and Support" in the Start Menu, beneath the "Help and Support Center" text in the upper-right, it says Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004.

???

This is an OEM copy of XP MCE that I got from Dell, then used nLite to customize and shrink down from one DVD to one CD. I'm not seriously worried at all--clearly I'm running Media Center 2005, but what the hell is "Help and Support" thinking? Is this just a tiny little text bug that slipped through the cracks, or what? The system wasn't upgraded from MCE 2k4, the OS was done as a clean install.

Oh, one last thing: even though XP always says Version 2002 in the My Computer properties page, they really ought to change that for MCE systems. The first time I installed and went to that page, I thought I'd gotten seriously screwed by Dell.
