DivXp Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 ok here's my actual problem that seems without any solution. thing is i have a windows xp kit that's originally in spanish.it has everything in spanish, including the actual installation . problem is how do i revert it to english? there is no actual LIP (language interface pack) for english since LIP can only be installed on original english version of xp. and i cannot even use other LIP on this version since it is not in english. is there a trick i should know? (and no i don't want to get an english version of windows since i need this particular version for some reasons).
cluberti Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Localized versions of Windows XP will always install and run in the localized version before you can do anything. You can get the MUI for English, but you'll still have a percentage of the OS that's displayed in Spanish.Sorry I have to say this (since you don't want to hear it), but to get English to work 100% on your box from the get-go, you'll need to have an English XP CD .
