Hey, just read this thread. Instead of waking that thread again, I guess it's best if I start from scratch...

Basically, to try and make my linux and windows installs play nicely together, and so that much of the data is shared, I'm trying to get my /home and Documents And Settings folders to actually be the same.

I currently have a 5Gb partition set for this, which is currently FAT32. I've just tried to get linux running from it, but it's both slow and buggy (some files don't seem to be working in the same way (ownership problems etc I guess)). I suppose my next avenue of experimentation should be Windows and ext2.

Now comes the tricky part: is it possible to load drivers, such as these ext2/3 drivers during WinXP installation? I ask this as, from what I can tell, this is the best place to change the location of the D&S folder. If someone can suggest another method, I'd def look into it, but is my method possible?

Cheers, DarkWeaver.
