MSM file types? (flash player downloads)

Does anyone know what the MSM file types are from the Macromedia download area on licensed flash and macromedia installers? There are MSI files and MSM files. The Flash MSI files are considerably larger and the MSM doesn't seem to be associated with any launcher for Windows.
