Keyboard + Mouse not working after Motherboard swap

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have changed my motherboard, and before i did that, i managed to change IDE (that was VIA) to PCI Standard, so there was not bluescreen of death, winxp, booted ok, and started to detect devices, Great!

Detected a lot of changes, and installed, but Mouse and keyboard is not working, i think because it did not detected it yet. So... when it detects mouse, it cames the worst part, it pops up a tab, saying what i want to do, if i want to continue as the standard PS/2 (Recommended), and asks to click on NEXT... lol, but keyboard and mouse are not working yet.

So... there are any solutions for this case? Since i think mouse & keyb were not detected yet, and when mouse is finally detected it asks for me to press NEXT key... but HOW????

Thanks in advance any tip would be great!

UNless you have something special you shouldn't need to pess anything like that. I would have done a clean reinstall. Did you run anything before you did your reinstall? Do you have more than 1 mose and keyboard to try? Even if one is usb or serial.
