Formatting Merge Data

I've used the wizard for mail merge but when I merge the data the address block is in Double space. When I look in the formatting menu and select the address it indicates it is 1.0 but still prints double spaced. How do I get the data to print in single space?

Need more info: how do you have the data set up? Are the city, state, and zip in one field or are they separate fields? what about street? Are you sure the original data does not have carriage returns?

where is the original data, in an excel file?

To overcome this issue (without know the answers to you questions), you should format the fields the way you want before you merge.
