Trying to find a different way to control media during install.

Ok, I have tried a search and found good information on playing MP3's and what not during the GUI portion of the install. Unfortunately this isn't exactly what I am trying to do.

I am trying to turn certain areas of the setup billboard into buttons to control the media player (i.e., play/pause/prev/next) I have attached an image to try illustrate what I am trying to do (hope that is ok with the mods).

Basically does anyone know a site/progrm/way to make the background control the media. I appreciate any help anyone can provide. And if I am dumb and didn't search enough, or I am posting in the wrong section let me know. Also if I need to give more info on what I am trying to let me know that also. Again thanks in advanced.
