I got a Virus, Long story made short, PC is Dead.The HP did not look good in my living room so I scrapped it, purchased a silverstone case along with larger hard drives. Now I have a more asthetic loking MCPC. However I found Silverstone's IMON software to be lousy. I then downloaded a trial verson or meedio which was better but still choppy. I decided to delete both imon, and meedio and install MSMC 2005 from my hp. When I tried to install, I got an error messace: "These PC Recovery discs do NOT Support This PC Model"How do I install MCPC to my silverstone Case. This software is owned by me and the PC is regestered at HP to myself.
getwired Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 To be specific, the software isn't owned by you - it's owned by Microsoft, and licensed to you. Unfortunately, your copy of MCE is locked to your HP system, moving it to any other PC is a violation of the license agreement with Microsoft. To get MCE installed on any other system, you will need to buy a new copy from a reseller - like NewEgg.com or another...
