expert01 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) Would it be possible to change OOBE (or make a new one) to not only add the users right after install, but choose their pictures and security levels? Edited October 19, 2005 by expert01
OrcoXP Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Specific usernames or chosen at the time of install?
expert01 Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 The usernames that you choose on first-run.
tkmadison Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 (edited) The usernames that you choose on first-run.You can choose custom user account images by placing a 48X48 BMP with the same name as your account into $OEM$\$Docs\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Images\.So if you wanted to create a user name Pete, for example, and you've set that up in your oobe file, then you'd have to have a Pete.bmp file in the directory I've outlined above.Works like a charm.
