Ok so the issue is, any webpages calling the embedded windows media player, will not play.

I've spent about 8hrs on this, w/ google and etc etc. It's seriously driving me insane.

The error occurs in IE, Firefox and Opera. So I believe it is browser independant (clever arent I?)

I have tried WMP9, 10, reinstalling a few times, everything except a re-format, which I'd rather avoid.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, basically it looks like this
