Help installing from Toshiba recovery cd

Hi

A friend showed me his Laptop running on nLite and it roared past mine on load speed etc. I have a P20 Toshiba running XP MCE 2004 ( i guess ) with 100GB HD 1GB Ram and 3.0Ghz Processor so it should chug along quite quickly. I was amazed at the difference in size of his system folder for drivers etc.

I thought i would give this a go but as yet i have had no joy creating a setup disk from the Toshiba Recovery disk...it just does not see the required folders or files!!!

Can ayone help with this problem or point me in the right direction.
