ISO Problem

Hi,

I am trying to use the feature that creates an iso of Windows so that it may be installed on another computer. After I create the iso, I cannot burn it to a 700 meg cd. The iso will not fit on the 700m cd. What do I do?

first question is how big is your iso file?

and 2nd question is how did you create it?

Size of iso is 1,714.882k

I did no xp mods, just ran the "Create a Bootable ISO" feature in nLite.

i'm not familiar with nlite (don't wanna either)... but does this nlite burn your iso file after it is created?

or

do you use nero or some other cd burning application?

Nlite is supposed to reduce the size of your installation, you I don't see why your iso is so large--unless you are trying to add applications or other files (which I often do). with an iso this large, you will need to burn it to a dvd (lets face it, in the very near future dvd drives will be impossible to live without). If you are not trying to add extra apps or files, then my guess is you are doing something wrong, because a full xp installation with every bell and whistle will fit on a 700MB CD. If you can provide more info, I'm sure the good people here can help.
