Important .mdb File Vanished from my hard drive

Suspiciously, one of my important .mdb files has vanished from my computer and I'm quite upset about it. I have searched both hard drive and shared network drives for *.mdb and my file does not appear in the result list.

I have run 'regedit', but don't understand anything there enough to make it useful.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this file back?

I have also run a System Restore going back to Monday (the last time that I successfully accessed the database file) and it is still not there. There is nothing in recycle bin either.

Update: I have also gone into System Information to see if there were any errors with Access. Nothing.

Help?!

Have you tried any file recovvery software? Like Norton unerase or something off of cnet. Let m,e know if you need something.
