General query on Internet Explorer

hi all,

I m hving a very basic query regarding IE.

Suppose i browse a website that has some user name & password authentication.

as for the first time i strike the return carriage after entering the username & password, it asks

"do u want to preserve the password?"

I say no......

but in a dew course i browse the same site and i wish my computer to ask for the same confirmation

"do u want to preserve the password?".

how can i do it without clearing the password contents in IE options?

will it be possible to do it?
