Legacy 8042 controllers

I have an issue where the unattended Win2k3 (no SP) setup stops with an error:

"The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupt or missing, Value 1 on line 0 in section 'keyboard' setup cannot continue . to quit press F3"

This is a new error with a previously working unattended setup where the server in question has only got USB keyboard support (no 8042 controller on-board) and the USB keyboard is not attached.

We have been made aware of an additional statement to be added to unattend.txt but need to know from you what the implication of adding this statement to our standard build for servers both with or without a legacy 8042 controller is:

[KeyBoardDrivers]

"USB keyboard" = "RETAIL"

Will adding this statement cause any issues on servers with legacy 8042 keyboard controllers? The reason for this is that we want a hardware independent Win2k3 build.

Thanks for your time.
