netdom and trusts

I'm trying to use netdom to verify trusts between my two computers. One is a 2K system and the other is 2K3 VM Ware. I've tried using netdom RESET/RESTPWD/ADD/VERIFY machine /Domain:Full.domain.name /UserO:Administrator /PasswordO:password but I get the following message:

The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed.

The command failed to complete successfully.

Can anyone give me some idea how to rectify this problem?
