atkt_forever Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 HiI currently have Win 2000 and Win XP on my system.However, my Win XP is plagued wid spyware and Win 2k doesnt seem to function. Hence i want to install Wiin XP Pro wid SP 2 over the win 2000 and wil later format the existing win XP.But whn i insert the win xp pro bootable disc and begin booting frm CD, the setup begins to inspect h/w configuration and then the PC restarts. this cycle continues and i am unable to install Win XP. rjz Posted September 14, 2005 Share Posted September 14, 2005 Go to bootdisk.com and get your self a boot floppy or set of floppies and run winnt from there and see if it does it 1st copy your cd i388 folder tto your hd.
