letterboy Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 hi to all , i'm just new in this forum.but heres the questions....i am using win2k3 server, now i wanna create the network drive for my win xp client with security.actually , i have create it b4 with "Guest" login and without password.but now i really want to add securty , like each network drive have it's own user name and password.I haven't create Active directory yet , do i have so?But last thing is needed to be consider , i have my printer connected to my server , but i want to set this printer as "Guest" kind , so when anyone login to their winxp , they may use my printer , but not the network drive of others.i have tried many times on setting it , but when i create an account in the "Users and groups" on win2k3 server , winxp must need me to login first than may let me use the printer.in alternative ,when i delete the accounts on win2k3 server , and leave the guest account opened , win xp no need me to login(automatically logged)I really want my printer become freely use by anyone and secure my network drive.i am very newbie on this , hope anyone could help me.
