Word Text Borders

Somehow text borders (see attachment) were turned on and I cannot figure out how to turn them off. I like them, but I want to know how to turn them on and off. Can someone please help?

Have you tried erasing your normal template??

Have you tried to check the following:

Tools > Options

View tab

Print and web layout options - untick "text boundaries" if ticked

Hope this is the problem!
