Hello,

I am trying to put powerpoint on my server. When user who download this powerpoint into their computer, only that user can view it from that computer. If that user give the .ppt file to his/her friends, his/her friends cannot open this file in their computer. I am thinking maybe I can have third party program to activate that .ppt file in particular computer. So people cannot copy this powerpoint file to each other. Is anyone can help me with this?

Thanks

What version of powerpoint ya' got? 'Cause in Powerpoint 2003, there's a restrict permissions option, but it only works I think if you're connected to an exchange server. So if this is at a workplace, it will probably work. If you're just sending it out to family and friends, it probably won't.

protect you presentation is a easy thing !

Distribute a show within a show (the most easy way)

A Powerpoint newsgroup user (you know who you are, Glenna) suggests this devilishly devious trick:

Create and save your presentation as a PPS file.

Open a new presentation, click on Insert, Object, Create From File and select the PPS file you just created. Do not check the link or icon box.
