Outlook Express not installed

Recommended Posts

Hi every1,

Hopefully someone can helpme ouy with this problem I've been trying to fix for days now.

I created an unattended win xp pro cd slipstreeamed with sp2 and hotfixes. It installs great with no problem on VMWARE. The problem is outlook express doesn't get installed for some reason. If anyone has had this problen or someone can give me a little help. It will be greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure that you have the following in your winnt.sif file:

[Components]
OEAccess = On

and its not set to Off

Also, make sure you arent removing it with something else when making the build for the iso/cd i.e. in nlite, etc. (if using nlite, you should ask in the appropriate board)

Maybe the original XP CD that you are using is scratched and/or isn't being copied properly when copying it to the HD.

Regards and hope it helps,

N.

I'm slipstreaming it manually, not using any programs.

I've tried to install the origanal xp pro in VMWARE and everything installs good but after I slipstream SP2 is when Outlook Express doesn't install. Here is a copy of WINNT unattend file. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just finished testing my xp pro slipstream with sp2 cd without the unattended WINNT file and everything went great.

Outlook Express got installed, which means my problem lies within my unattended WINNT.SIF file. Anyone can please take a look at it and give me a little help with it, I would very much appreciate it.
