updates hang

hi !!! pls help me with a problem i have. when i try to install any updates ( ex: the august security updates for win xp ) then updates hang and stop responding at the "inspecting system configuration" window. i'm using win xp sp2, ryanvm 1.2.2b pack nlited.

and another problem: when i try to disable my lan connection i get a error message: can't disable connection. it's possible that one or more system protocols are not plug'n'play. i never got this message before. it happened2 days ago. does anyone know a sollution ??

i've found out what the problem was. it seem's that both problems accoured after i've installed xpize 4.0 b2. i have reinstalled windows and it seemed to work fine. after i installed xpize, the same problems accoured again. looks like someone has to work more at xpize
