ralphiedee Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 OK, I have been using Outlook Express 2000 for a while now. For our business I created .wab address / e mail lists in OL Exp 2000 for certain customers (like: e mail lists for customers in different states) I was able to bulk e mail all the customers on each list and it gave me flexability to send bulk e mails with different messages using different lists. I am trying to migrate into OL 2003 and I'm totally lost on how to get the same result. I want to import e mail addresses from OL Exp 2000 and save them in different folders either in an address book or contacts in OL 2003 so when I do a bulk e mail or have to add new addresses, they go in to the list I choose. Am I clear? All I'm able to do is to import addresses from the Main Identity Contact folder in OL Exp 2000 into OL 2003. The actual folders I need to export would be sub folders in the Main Identity Contact folder in OL Exp 2000 follow?any kind of help appreciated, this is killing me.rdee
InTheWayBoy Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I think you would have to import the .wab files into Outlook, and then setup "Groups" within the Outlook Contact screen...as far as I know the only way Outlook can do what you want is via the "Groups" function, which isn't compatible with .wab files.I would think you could import one .wab, then select all and add that to a new group...repeat for each .wab file you have. As far as the actual way to do it, I don't know off hand, but I know you can right-click in the Contacts screen and make a new group, and within that group screen you can select who is in it...I think you can do it the other way too, by selecting the contacts first and then adding them to a new group.
