Japanese Application Support without an XP CD

I apologise if this question has been asked before, but can't seem to find an answer to it anywhere. I am aware that the best way to ensure Japanese applications work on Windows XP is checking the East Asian Languages box and inserting the Windows XP CD... the problem is, I don't have mine at the moment. Is there any way around this, or will the IME for Office XP allow this?
