MCE 05 Crashes

Sometimes whilst browsing My Movies, MCE crashes back to the desktop. I've figured it out and narrowed it down to when it does the thumbnails for certain movies. Is there a way for disabling this altogether? I know you can sought of bypass this by creating a thumbnail for each movie, but thats a PITA.
