valkenaer Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Thanks for introducing me to the world of unattended setup, it's been an eye opener and it has helped me a great deal professionally. But at home (XPSP2 in a workgroup) I run into this little problem: I got so far as automating part of the MSOOBE by providing the answers below in the OOBEINFO.INI, but I still end up with two screens that require user intervention. The "thanks for using XP" and "turn on/turn off automatiic updates". I can't find any info on getting rid of these so I'm beginning to wonder whether I should be using the OOBEINFO.INI at all. Did I miss a bit in the Unattended guide that deals with this?[userInfo]Identity000="Me"[startupOptions]Registration=1Offline=1[Options]IntroOnly=0
cumminbk Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Add: [Data] AutomaticUpdates = No (or yes)To your WINNT.SIF file and that should get rid of the automatic updates window.
