problem with network glitch on windows

Hi,

Our application is on one of the network machince. Iam accessing it from my machine which is loaded with WINDOWS XP. I have invoked the application mean while there was a glitch in the network and restored the network. the application hangs doesn't work. It is having some menuitems/icons etc which doesn't work. After doing some debugging i have observed that all the data structures and memory used by this application is corrupted with that network glitch.

Where as i checked from a solaris machine. I have invoked the application which is on network machine from a solaris machine. Now also there was a glitch in the network but after restoring the connection the application works perfectly.

Can any one knows what is the reason for this corruption of data on windows when the network glitch occurs.
